The drop in service aims to provide a safe, non-threatening after school space for secondary school students. It is designed to make the young people who use it feel comfortable. Those utilising the centre have access to professional youth workers, recreation services, meals and refreshments.
Brief intervention support services are also offered, during drop-in times, to young people who need short-term support with the challenges they are experiencing. The workers can also facilitate a linkage for young people into Whitelion's intensive case management service for those young people at-risk who require longer term support for a range of complexities.
The program allows young people to re-engage with the community and remain engaged with education by providing them with a safe space outside of school hours.
Regular sporting activities, camps and life skill workshops are incorporated within the service to promote the engagement, inclusion and development of young people within the area.
Over the school holidays programs are also run out of the centre, consisting of centre based activities and excursions. Some of these activities include extra drop in sessions, festive specific activities, sporting tournaments, gaming tournaments, Minecraft camps, overnight camps, graffiti workshops and more. Previous holiday excursions have included BounceInc, Laser Tag, bowling and Fremantle Prison.
Young people play a vital role in the running of the centre by giving feedback and helping with the running of activities. The centre is a fun and supportive place for all young people and regularly hosts:
