Nyarlu Duwa (Woman House in Wadjari) is acknowledged and respected as a safe place for women and children to visit, to stay, rest and talk with others. Nyarlu Duwa supports women who are in need of emergency accommodation as a result of family and domestic violence. But it also assists women who recognise escalating patterns of violent or abusive behaviours and wish to remove themselves and their children from potential harm and further trauma. The Family and Domestic Violence Service provides outreach primarily to women, men and children who remain in a relationship but require assistance to address issues of violence in the home environment.
